The Lasalle Titans Minor Mosquito - Green Team lose 12 to 2 to a very good Belle River Team
Jack
pitched the first 2 innings, striking out 3 batters and catching a fly ball in
the infield.
After 2 innings the score was tied 0 - 0, with neither side looking like they would break. Unfortunately Belle River took a strangle hold in the bottom of the third, scoring 11 runs.
The Titans tried valiantly to fight their way back with 2 runs in the top of the forth, but consistent pitching by the Belle River pitcher made it difficult to score any more runs. The Belle River Pitcher (Prince) ended up going 4 innings and only gave up 2 runs and 3 hits.
Sullivan caught a fly ball to right field in the bottom of the 4th.
The hit of the day came from Tatem, who drove a long ball down the left field and made a stand up triple.
