The Lasalle Titans Minor Mosquito - Green Team win an evenly matched game - 14 to 10 over the Essex Yellow Jackets
A
greatly improved Titans team showed up to play some great ball on a beautiful
sunny Sunday evening. Although Essex started off the first inning with 5 runs,
it didn't deter the Titans coming back to score 3 runs in the bottom of the
first.
Essex were shut down in the 2nd - 3 up, 3 down... The Titans came back with Jay stealing home and Max getting the team's first HOME RUN of the season.
Essex capitalised on some great base running, scoring 4 runs in the top of the 3rd. But once again, the Titans came back with vengeance scoring 9 runs, to go ahead 14 runs to 9.
Once again Aiden came in as our stalwart closer for 1 1/3 innings, striking out 3 batters and only giving up 1 run. Aiden also went 3 for 3, hitting 3 singles to centre field.
The final score - 14 to 10 for the Titans.
