Mosquito Minor Gold (04), 2014, Titans (Turtle Club Baseball and Softball)

The Mosquito Minor Gold team travelled to London over Labour Day Weekend and for the second year in a row, swept the competition, going a perfect 6-0.  This group of 9 and 10 year old boys are a team in every sense of the word.  Whether it was with outstanding pitching, amazing hitting or incredible defense, every player shined in their own way throughout the tournament.  They represented the Titans organization in sportsmanship, athleticism and absolute enjoyment of the game. Coaches and parents could not be more proud of this group of amazing players!!

Once again, the Mosquito Minor Gold team played their hearts out and came out on top.  After going 2-1 in pool play, the boys came out swinging against Walker Homesites and moved on to the championship game against Oakville A's who were undefeated in the tournament.  The bats started moving in the first inning earning them the lead which they held on to and although Oakville pushed hard and brought the score to within 6 runs in the 5th inning, the boys stayed tough and came out on top with a 16-8 win. 

Some of the players from the Mosquito Minor Gold team attended the Wayne State University Baseball Camp where they participated in drills throughout the morning and got to meet Detroit Tigers pitching coach Jeff Jones.  Hopefully they were listening to what he had to say...he's coached "a few good pitchers" in his time!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to LASALLE PREMIER AUTO SPA for allowing the Mosquito Minor Gold Team to host our car wash at your facility.  Parents and players had a great time in the sun and managed to exceed our goal in money raised to help out with team expenses.  Please support this local business - they are doing an amazing thing by supporting our community!!

The Titans Mosquito Minor GOLD team did it again!!  They travelled to Tecumseh this past weekend and went undefeated in pool play, bringing them to the semi-finals on Sunday morning.  After defeating Oakville in the semi's, they met the host team and after a long, hot weekend and a rain delay, the boys came out on top capturing the championship.  Amazing pitching by Kolton MacArthur, Owen Findlay, Owen St. Pierre, Nathan Gignac and Brennan Valentini was backed up by great defense by Brandon LeBlanc, Andrew Langlois, Lucas Chartrand, Connor Smith and Aedan Sullivan.  Everyone contributed at ...
