Our team of
twelve young female athletes have been training hard since November, all along
with their sights set on our provincial championships August 8 – 10 in St.
Catherine’s. Drawing a tough first game against our rivals from Brampton, the
A’s came up short losing their first game 3-2 in a two game elimination
tournament. This meant they had a long road ahead in order to get back to medal
contention. Saturday the girls came out hard making quick work of three
competitors in a row: 15 - 0 over the Guelph Gators, 8 - 5 win against Oakville
Angels, and finally 12 - 2 over the Halton Hills Hawks. This put them in the top
six heading into Sunday competition.
