The 2006 Lasalle Athletics Mite team (MacNeill) captured Provincial Gold in the "A" Division for Mite. The girls went 3-0 on Friday during the qualifying round putting them into the "A" division. Saturday they beat Chatham Gold 6-1, then went on to face a tough Milton Bats Sr. team. After a rain delay took the game into early Sunday morning, the girls gave everything they had to win 11-3.

After going 1-1 on Saturday, the girls pulled up their socks to win 3 consecutive games to take the GOLD at the Mite Grand Valley Closer Tournament this past weekend. The girls faced a very strong and undefeated Kitchener team early afternoon Sunday. In order to take the gold, the Mite '06 Athletics needed to beat Kitchener twice. Both games proved to be the most exciting all year! The Athletics pulled out a 2-1 victory in the first game, and a 5-1 victory in the second game.
The coaches and parents are very proud of these talented young ladies!!

Congratulations to the "06" Athletics Mite team for winning back to back Gold medals over the past two weekends. Their first win was the Mississauga North Tigers Tournament. Winning all five games with no losses. They captured the gold again at the Chatham Summer Slam a week later once again winning all five games with no losses. These girls work hard and play together as a team! Thanks to coaches Mike, Tom, Jenna, and Sarah for all their hard work and dedication! Go Athletics!
