The LaSalle Athletics U15 II Team
travelled to Brampton this weekend to participate in the Blazer Blast. The rain pushed out of the forecast making
for a great weekend of ball.
Due to the weather to start the season this was the first game action that the team experienced and the team responded amazingly to the challenge. Everything was working for the entire team from the start of the first game. Bats were alive, the defense was solid and the girls were lightening on the bases. A solid team effort allowed the girls to go 5-0 during the first 2 days of the tournament.
The championship day of the tournament provided more great weather and the team continued to be solid in all aspects of the game. Eventually 1 inning caught up to the team in the semifinal game and the team ended the weekend with a loss to a great Port Perry team.
The coaches could not be prouder of the girls and how they came together over the weekend. This was a great first weekend, with a lot learned and an opportunity to build momentum moving forward through the season. Thank you to all the Players & Parents for making the weekend so enjoyable.
Looking forward to the next challenge in Halton!
