Pee Wee HL Opening Night
On a beautiful night, families filled TC Park for opening night in the Pee Wee HL division, and they were treated to two outstanding games. On Diamond 1, Devonshire Mall faced off against the Lasalle Police, and SWT Group battled The City Grill on Diamond 2.
The Lasalle Police jumped out to a quick two run lead on Devonshire Mall, but the boys in grey came right back in the next inning and answered with runs of their own. The second inning comeback was led by Matt C, Jacob, Ty, ODub, Max, Conor and Jamie at the plate. Runs were exchanged by both teams in the following innings, but defensively, the boys locked it down with timely contributions by Matt F, Matt C, Chris and ODub. Chris, Owen S, and Jamie shared the pitching duties for the win which was highlighted by a 9 pitch inning by Owen S in the third.
All in all, a great start by Devonshire Mall tonight. Good job boys!
