Clinics
Our clinics have been very successful to date with over 60% of all the registered players in our division attending, and even after a few short weeks there is some noticeable improvement in the girls. Last week and today we will be completing the player evaluations to prepare for next week's Rookie Softball draft.
Upcoming Draft
On Wednesday, February 29, the managers of the 4 teams along with TC Executive will conduct the draft for our division. Each team will have 11 players and it is our mandate to create evenly balanced teams.
Although some parents have made specific requests to have your daughters play alongside their friends, please know that while we cannot promise these requests will be met, we will try our best to honour them.
Rules of Play
We are still working out all the details for the Rules of Play for Rookie Softball, as we have now moved away from Senior T-Ball. There is no better transition to pitching, which the 8 year olds this season will experience in Minor Softball next year, as using a consistent pitching machine. I have been in early discussions with the University of Windsor Women's Fastpitch team to conduct pitching clinics for the 8 year old girls later in the season as well as to assist us in the indoor clinics.
