Softball Rookie, 2012 (Turtle Club Baseball and Softball)

Today our 2012 house league season comes to a close and I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support of our Little League, our new division and most importantly, our daughters. It has been an absolute pleasure serving as division director and although we had a few bumps in the road with the transition away from t-ball, I believe this season has been a true success.

The season has progressed very well so far and there is definite improvement in all the girls.  After successfully removing the tee a couple of weeks ago, the girls have adjusted very well to the pitched ball, are being more and more successful in their hitting and are making a lot of great defensive plays.

Opening Day Opening Day is this Saturday, April 28, 2012 and for those participating in the parade, we will meet behind the TD Bank at Laurier and Front Road at 9:30am.  Please do not try to park in front of the bank as there will be no spots available.  All players must be in uniform and the parade is scheduled to begin at 10am sharp.

We've completed a very successful time inside the gym at MAC and we are now moving outside to the diamonds.  Thank you to all that helped and for our girls who participated. Although we start the clinics at a trying time of the year where many of us are involved in hockey or other weekend activities, there is no doubt that the practice benefits our kids' development and enjoyment of the game.

Clinics Our clinics have been very successful to date with over 60% of all the registered players in our division attending, and even after a few short weeks there is some noticeable improvement in the girls.  Last week and today we will be completing the player evaluations to prepare for next week's Rookie Softball draft.
