Provincial Qualifiers Start This Weekend for the
Athletics Novice (U14) Team...
Everyone at Turtle Club is invited to cheer on the Athletics Novice (U14) team at Mic Mac Park diamond 1, on Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 am. This is the start of a double elimination tournament to qualify for Provincials to be held in Pickering, Aug 2-4.
The Novice team, led by Bill Mayville and his coaching staff, has just come off a gold medal performance in Chatham this past weekend, and a silver medal performance in Waterloo (May 25-26 weekend). This weekend, they are working hard to qualify for the A division of the Provincials.

In other news, congratulations to Barry Yetman's Mite (U10) team for placing silver at the Niagara Falls Teddy Bear Tournament (July 6th and 7th). A narrow loss to Cambridge in the finals has shown everyone that they are a team to be watched.
