BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL UMPIRE CLINICS - April 20/21, 2024
Turtle Club Baseball and Softball is hosting two umpire clinics the weekend of April 20/21, 2024 – one for baseball (SAT), and the other for softball. The softball clinic is divided into two sessions – one for umpires older than 16 (SAT), and another for umpires 16 and under (SUN).

The softball umpire clinic is a Softball Ontario umpire clinic being held at Turtle Club Park on Saturday, April 20, 2024 for individuals older than 16 seeking Level 1 certification, and on Sunday, April 21, 2024 for youth participants aged 16 and under. Each of these clinic sessions is scheduled for 9am to 4pm. The cost of the clinic is $60 payable online via the Softball Ontario website. Pre-registration (see below) is required. Registered participants are to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the clinic session (8:30am). The clinic is strongly recommended for those seeking umpire opportunities in the club’s travel softball program (LaSalle Athletics Softball), including tournaments, as well as the club’s house league and select softball programs, either this season or in future seasons.

The baseball umpire clinic is a Baseball Ontario Developing Umpire Camp being held at Villanova High School Gym on Saturday, April 20, 2024, starting at 9am and ending around 1pm. The camp is a required part of the certification process for Level 1 and 2 umpires. A maximum of 40 participants, seeking either Level 1 or Level 2 certification, may attend this camp. Pre-registration (see below) is required. The cost of the camp is $25 for Level 1 or $45 for Level 2, payable by CASH ONLY at the beginning of the event. Registered participants are to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the camp (8:30am). The camp is strongly recommended for those seeking umpire opportunities in the club's travel baseball program (LaSalle Titans Baseball), older divisions in the club's house league program, and/or in the club's select program, either this season or in future seasons. The camp is not required for those seeking umpire opportunities ONLY in younger divisions in the club's house league program (in-house training will be provided) but would still be of great benefit to those individuals, and is suggested for them.
