2022 Athletics - U11 Green (Gee) - 2012 Athletics Win Gold at Pan Jam III
The 2012 LaSalle Athletics competed in the Pan Jam III
tournament in Oshawa this past weekend. After finishing third in round robin
play, they advanced to the semi final game against a tough 2012 Halton Hawks
team. Going into the top of the fourth and the last full inning of play, the
Athletics were down 5-4. Grit, determination, and patience at the plate allowed
the Athletics to score 5 runs, pulling ahead 9-5. Stellar pitching and
defensive plays kept Halton scoreless during their last at bat, allowing LaSalle
to advance to the finals.
The ‘A train’ kept its momentum and thundered through the next game! Amazing pitching, strong defensive plays, solid offense, and aggressive base running allowed the Athletics to control the game and pull off a 15-1 win over the top seeded London Lightning.
The coaches are beyond proud of this group of young athletes! This team gives 110% all the time and it was spectacular to watch their hard work and determination pay off!
