Titans 9U Aurora Father's Day Tournament Champs!
“Where exactly is LaSalle?” This was a question asked over and over again in Aurora this weekend.
This small town team showed up to play. In a pool of 16 competitive AA teams, they went 6-0. Three of those games were played in high winds on Saturday and the boys never let up. On Father's Day, they faced a talented team from Royal York in the finals and left all the parents on the edge of their seats. They clinched the championship after many strong defensive innings. The Titans ended the weekend outscoring their opponents 94 to 51.
What made their coaches and parents the most proud, is their strong sportsmanship and the friendships they made. Multiple athletes from an opposing team showed up to cheer them on in the finals, because of the friendship they made off the diamonds. They all played really well and should be proud of themselves for truly playing like a team. It was a great Father's Day gift to all the 9U Titans dads!
The coaching staff is eager to keep the boys challenged, so they will be driving back to the GTA in a few weeks for their first AAA tournament.
