All activities will be conducted in accordance with COVID protocols. Some key elements of these protocols at this time are:

  • proper distancing
  • wearing masks entering and exiting the park (may be removed after entry on diamonds or spectator areas while maintaining proper distancing) and in washroom/concession area
  • only REGISTERED players, coaches/helpers and spectators, and club personnel, in park during activities at this time (parents who are not registered coaches/helpers/spectators may remain in our parking lot and may also bring child(ren) to the check-in table at main park entrance
  • regular hand sanitizing
  • no sharing of equipment
  • no gum or seeds
  • no dugout use
  • attendance tracking and COVID declarations prior to entry
Everyone must check in at the check-in table which will be set up near the gate of the main entrance to Turtle Club Park (370 Reaume), starting 30 minutes prior to the start time of each event. Attendance tracking and COVID declarations will occur at the check-in table. Volunteers will be available at the check-in table to direct and if necessary bring players to their assigned diamonds.

As equipment cannot be shared, players should bring with them their own bats, helmets, gloves and water bottles. Sanitizer will be available at the park, but players should be bringing their own personal sanitizer for regular use during the training sessions. As dugouts will not be used at this time, players may bring a portable chair if they wish to have one during breaks. As mentioned above, masks will be required at certain times (e.g. entry to and exit from the park), and thus players, coaches/helpers and spectators will need to bring their masks.

All event time slots are 2 hours, however, the sessions are currently not planned to exceed 1.5 hours in length. For example, if your event is scheduled to start at 9am, it will likely end around 10:30am (and perhaps a little sooner for the youngest groups). The additional time is being allotted for proper distancing while entering and exiting the diamonds.

Please keep in mind that COVID has presented us with many challenges that we have not experienced before. We request and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we return to the great sports of baseball and softball, in a safe manner. We will likely need to make additional adjustments in the course of this return, and any such adjustments will be communicated to you.

Looking forward to seeing you on the diamonds!
