The Hornets opened the playoffs tonight with a 12-5 victory against Red. With all players chipping in to help the team, The Hornets put a great team effort forward tonight to open the playoffs on a postive note.
Brandon, Xavier, Nolan and Owen all put in time on the hill tonight, while Gabe, Matt, Max, Jonathan and Ty all reached base on the offensive side of the play. The Hornets were able to jump out to an early lead and never looked back the entire game. While Red never stopped fighting, The Hornets kept the pressure on and were able to come out on top tonight.
Special shout outs to Xman for his pitching performance, Nolan for catching a strong game, and Brandon, Xavier, Owen and Matt for timely hitting.
Lastly, congrats to Matt for earning player of the game with a 2 for 2 night at the plate, with three RBI's. Great team performance by the Hornets tonight. Looking to carry it over to Wednesday night against Royal Blue. Go Hornets!!
