For the last game of the regular season, the Hornets dropped a tough one to the Red team, 10-8. Red jumped out to an early lead, but The Hornets fought back, but just came up a bit short in the end.
The Red team jumped out to an early lead and kept the foot on the gas, not allowing The Hornets a chance to get back in the game. Max, Xavier, Nolan and Owen "pitched" in with solid performances from the hill. Matt and Owen were the leaders at the plate tonight, with big, timely hits. Ty, Gabe and Jonathan helped out in the field as The Hornets stuck together and clawed back within two runs.
At the end of it all, The Hornets came up just short of a great comeback, but Red closed it out with a 10-8 win. Congrats to Max, who earned player of the game!! Up next a rematch with Red to open the playoffs....GO HORNETS!!
