The 2010 LaSalle Athletics completed their impressive first
season in the U12 Squirt division, finishing tied for third in the province
following the recent PWSA Champions Weekend.
In their minor year in Squirt, the 2010 A’s went undefeated in the PWSA U12 West Bracket. Their resiliency was on display throughout bracket play, twice coming from behind in the final innings to beat St. George, including scoring 4 runs in their last at-bat of the bracket finals to clinch the win. The A’s were eliminated on the Champions Weekend by the eventual gold medalists from Waterloo, but competed well as the only 2010 team of the four finalists.
Coaches Chris, Dan, Niki and Ray are all very proud of the effort the girls put in throughout the year. From their commitment in Zoom meetings during the lockdown to the final pitches of the season, the girls never wavered in pursuit of their goals. The coaches can’t wait to see what the girls can do with two more seasons in the Squirt division.
The 2010 A’s would also like to thank the families and fans who supported the team during the season.
