Chargers Do It Again
The Chargers put another strong performance together against a very tough Navy Blue Team tonight. For the third game in a row, the boys come from behind and battled back for the win, to go to 6-0 on the season.
After the first inning, Navy Blue's bats were on fire and they jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. The bottom of the second is when The Chargers came to the plate and exploded with 5 runs to make it 5-2. Both teams battled at the plate and each added runs in the next inning. The Chargers went into the last inning with at 7-5 lead, when 'Lights Out Owen" closed the door on Navy with a great pitching performance to preserve the win.
The offence was lead by Jamie, Jonathan, Philippe, Chris, Owen S, Ty and Max. The defense was anchored by Jacob, ODub, Conor, Max, Matt F and Matt C, with a special shout out to Jacob, Max and Conor, who made timely plays in the field.
Pitching duties were shared by Ty, Jamie and Owen S. Strong catching performances by ODub, Chris and Jonathan helped secure the win.
A special shout out to Navy for a really great game. They turned in some solid defense, pitching and hitting tonight.
Another great team effort by The Chargers tonight with everyone chipping in. With playoffs on the horizon, The Chargers seem to be in mid season form. Way to go boys!!
