Welcome to the 2012 Rookie Baseball Season. You are receiving this email because your son has been drafted to the GOLD TEAM - sponsored by Countryside Home Hardware.
My name is Aaron Anson. I'm your manager this season as well as the Director of the Rookie ball Division.
I've attached the roster for our team. You can always find it on the website also (http://turtleclubbaseball.com/Teams/1066/Players/)
You will also be able to see the schedule eventually there too. For now though, I have found errors in the schedule so please don't bank on diamonds or game times yet.... the dates willbe good...
Basically the schedule will be;
SAT - 11am or 1pm
SUN - 11am or 1pm both days on diamond #1 or #2.
WED - 6pm to 7:30pm (hopefully) - Practice on Diamond #2 and in the batting cages.
Please keep in mind that this year will be the first time many of the kids have seen a ball "pitched" to them. Things are not solidified completely withthe rules of play yet, but
I can tell you that we are intending the season to be machine pitch, and use the tee for back up early in the season and remove that option as we progress. I'll try to keep you informed of things as they change/ come up, but please don't be afraid to ask either.
When I get a chance I'll put together a schedule for snack responsibilities etc.
Lastly, while I have your attention I should try to remind you of a few things;
1. Please try to get as many donations for the Walk-a-thon as possible. The pledge sheets are on the website, or you can contact me.
2. Brews and Cues night; I look forward to seeing all of you there. I don't know all of you and this would be a great time to meet you and get to know you. Last year was a great success and I hope to make this year better. I have tickets for sale if anyone needs them... just send me a note and I'll try to get them to you ASAP. The info on this event is also on the website...
