The 13U LaSalle Athletics (Gold 2010)
started their season strong with an undefeated weekend at the May Madness
tournament in Maumee, Ohio. The Athletics earned gold rings with a hard-fought
5-1 victory over the Bedford (MI) Lady Mules.
Throughout the weekend, the Athletics dominated their
opponents on the mound and at the plate.
Four different pitchers combined to hold the opposing teams to just four
runs across the five games. The team
also batted .436 for the weekend, with big contributions coming from every spot
in the lineup. It was a true team effort
that showcased all of their hard work over the winter.
The coaches and parents would like to congratulate the young
women on their opening weekend success. And
more importantly, thank them for continuing to be an excellent representation
of the LaSalle Athletics organization wherever they go.
