Congratulations goes out to the LaSalle Athletics Mite Gold team for their end of season league tournament win up in Springfield this weekend. The girls never gave up!! First fighting back to tie it up 3-3 in the semi-finals> against the Kitchener Klassics only to pull out the win in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the 6th inning with a homerun from the "Tirminator" Abby Tir to seal the deal.
Kitchener would win their way back to face our girls again in the championship which proved to be a tough hard fought battle in where we found ourselves down 4-1 heading into the bottom of the 6th inning. The girls stayed focused and fought hard to pull out another come from behind victory with a game winning hit from Emily "Smash Potato" Owen to win 5-4 and take the GOLD!!!!
