Titans win 2nd Place in USSSA Tournament
The Peewee Major Titans travelled to Farmington Hills, Michigan on the weekend to compete in the USSSA Kensington Valley “AA” Classic  and fought hard for 2 days battling tough teams and wet weather.

The boys started the 16 team tournament in Pool C on Saturday at 12PM playing Recruits Baseball and won a hard fought offensive battle 13-12 for their first win. Playing back to back games, the team was back on the diamond at 2PM against the Michigan Monarchs and again found themselves in a dog fight. As the game developed, the Titans were able to keep the bats going and grab a 7-4 win and go 2-0 for the day.  Sunday morning at 9AM, the team was back on the field and continued pool play against the Canton Cardinals who were also 2-0 and this was the game to watch as the winner advanced to the semi’s and the loser went home. The game started in much the same manner as the previous two did with great back and forth offensive and defensive plays but you could cut the intensity with a knife. The Cardinals Coaches, players and fans eventually turned up the volume showing some questionable team spirit, but the Titans showed a tremendous amount of character digging deep using the intensity as a motivator instead of a distraction and grabbed the win 8-6 to go 3-0 in pool play and earn  # 3 seeding out of 16 teams. After a quick lunch, the Titans were back at the park for the Semi Finals and found themselves playing the # 2 seed Ontario Blue Jays from the Greater Toronto area. Determined not to be intimidated, the Titans took the field like they owned the Park and put on an absolutely incredible display of talent and heart. Finding themselves behind 2-0 after 2 innings, the team got a quick reminder form the Coaching staff that sometimes hard work beats talent and the boys found it within themselves to battle back to an exciting  4-2 win setting up the final with the # 1 seed Orion Chargers. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans and opened up the sky putting the diamonds under water, making them unplayable and forcing  the Finals to be cancelled. When it was all over, the kids went 4-0 on the weekend and came home with the Runner Up hardware for their efforts. Great Job TITANS!!!
