Bantam Majors Take Second Straight Title
The
Titan Bantam Majors won the Kincardine Tournament held July 17-19. A perfect
5-0 record runs their tournament winning streak to 11 games. A 4-2 win over
Corunna on Friday got things going. It was a well played game by both.
Kincardine went down 15-4 in a sloppy game and North Middlesex was overmatched 22-2 to complete pool play. Rob Maure and Matt Serven homered in that game. Listowel was the semi final matchup and The Titans needed late inning heroics to advance. A 6 run rally cut a large deficit to 1 going into the 7th. Bryce Laforet hit a 2 run walkoff double to complete the comeback. The final vs Leamington was an anticlimactic 8-3 takedown. Ethan Kopecky pitched 5 innings of 1 hit ball to lead Lasalle to the championship. Every player contributed to a great weekend and the Bantams are primed for a strong OBA performance.
