Mosquito Minor Green Team Proudly Represents Turtle Club with a 2nd Place Finish in the Green and Gold Classic
The Titans started off the tournament strong, with an impressive 9 to 2 win over the London Tincaps.  Aiden Valentini pitched a complete game and Matthew Tracey went 3 for 3 in the win.


Saturday, the Titans lost their only game of the preliminary round, 8 to 4 to the Chatham Diamonds.  Nathan Miller started and pitched a great game and was relieved by Ashton Carr and Lucas Fleming.  At the plate, Miller also had 2 hits.

The Titans rebounded on Saturday afternoon with a 12 to 2 win over the Oshawa Legionaires.  Lucas Mass and Matthew Boudreau held Oshawa to 2 hits.  Boudreau also had a 2 hit game.

The Titans finished the preliminary round with a 2 and 1 record and set up a semi final game with their arch rival, Windsor Stars on Sunday.

The Titans took an early lead against the Stars and held on for a 12 to 9 win.  Valentini had another great start and was relieved by Carr.  At the plate Lucas Fleming and Miller each had 3 hits.

The Titans met Chatham again in the finals hoping to revenge their earlier loss, but ended up losing 12 to 3 to finish second overall.  Boudreau started and pitched well and was relieved by Carr and Tracey.

Louis Diab led the team all tournament in hustle plays while Tate Vacratsis and Jackson Ford led the team in defensive play and clutch hitting.

Overall the boys had a fantastic tournament showing a lot of heart and teamwork, while having a lot of fun on and off the field.  The Titans fans were FANtastic cheering the team on as the tournament went on.

The coaches are proud of the boys and how much they have improved throughout the season.
