Niagara Falls Tournament Win (Bantam Minor)
The
Titans Bantam Minor team won the Niagara Falls Minor Bantam Tournament held
July 10-12. The Titans went a perfect 5-0 on their way to being
champions! The team relied on great pitching and timely hitting all
weekend to win their pool with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Titans faced Chatham in the semi final. After getting behind 3-0 in the first inning the Titans found back to take the lead in the bottom of the 6th inning. In the top of the 7th Chatham was once again pressing to take the lead but on an outstanding catch by Nate Malenfant in right field and excellent pitching by Nyles Duern the team shut the charge down and the Titans were on to the final. Once again great pitching lead the way against Niagara Falls with Mitch With pitching 6 1/3 shut-out innings! The Titans finished the tournament scoring the most runs of any team while also giving up the least number of runs. All of the players contributed to an awesome weekend! Congratulations to tournament MVP’s Braydon Wharram and Spencer Todd.
